Ubuntu Community Appreciation Day: Let us appreciate our community
Ahmed Shams El-Deen a member of the Ubuntu Egypt LoCo is pushing for the first ever Ubuntu Community Appreciation Day (UCADay) which is a day dedicated to strengthen community ties and show appreciation towards other Ubuntu Contributors for their contributions to the community.
Ubuntu Contributors clock countless hours towards the Ubuntu Community through various teams and projects and this special day seems like an excellent day to recognize those contributions.
The First UCADay will occur on November 20th, 2011 and will occur via the following mediums:
- On mailing lists, IRC channels, on phone, face-to-face, etc…
- Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/UCADay
- Identi.ca group: http://identi.ca/group/ucaday
- Twitter: #ucaday
Kudos to Ahmed for coming up with this unique initiative to spread appreciation!
