Happy Ubuntu Community Appreciation Day
Today is the first Ubuntu Community Appreciation Day and in addition to reaching out to individuals in the Ubuntu Community I would like to also publicly thank the Community Council, LoCo Council and all the other teams in the Ubuntu Community for their continue contributions to the Ubuntu Community. Without your contributions Ubuntu would no doubt be a different community then it is today.
Ubuntu Community Appreciation Day was an idea that Ahmed Shams El-Deen of Egypt LoCo pursued in hopes that more appreciation could be shown for individual and team contributions to the Ubuntu Community by establishing a special day to recognize others contributions.
I encourage other Ubuntu Contributors to take this opportunity to reach out to people in the community and thank them for their individual contributions and I thank Ahmed for helping establish a day to recognize others.
