As a StumbleUpon user and someone who is obviously familiar with Juju a product an brand of Canonical’s I was a bit amazed by StumbleUpon’s new logo which closely resembles the Juju logo to the point of making me and perhaps others think that StumbleUpon based their new logo off of the Juju design, and my web designer friend from Web Wizards totally agreed.
Think how much flack a major company would take if they redid their logo with an upside down gray version of the Nike Swoosh. They would be most definitely done and obviously Canonical is not Nike but I still thought it was interesting and am kind of wondering what others think about the similarity?

That’s a hard one. If my current logo did, I’d be a little freaked out, but if it was like the juju/su logos, I’d think I would research it more before releasing the design.
Yeah…. I’m kind of surprised they didn’t have someone tasked to make sure it didn’t resemble other brandes
StumbleUpon’s logo has always been that “Su” ligature. They just changed the background color. *yawn*
