Hey Folks,

I want to invite you to not only sign this White House petition but really share it on every social networking site you use and get friends and family to sign it too. Basically the petition calls for Open Source in schools which would give children new skills they can use in later years to enhance their resume while also saving schools untold millions each year.

    I’d sign it if it said “OSI approved licenses,” instead of “GPL type licenses.” I’m not against the use of copyleft licenses, but I’d hate to exclude things like python, apache, or postgresql from such an initiative.
