Last weekend towards the end of Community Leadership Summit, I got the opportunity to check out Google Glass and I must say I was like a kid on Christmas Day morning when I got to try it out and so were all the other people who got the same opportunity.
I really think Google Glass (which I’m dubbing a “Smart Accessory”) is going to be really big when they become available for consumers and I think the sky really is the limit. Think about a society that is potentially always connected to the internet and think about how useful a tool like this could be.
Google could easily allow people to opt-in to occasionally filming streets to help patch Google Maps Street View with fresher updates. We could see alternative reality games like Ingress taken to a whole new level of gaming and we could even see Google Glass used in eduction or for things like touring museums or historical sites like Gettysburg.
