Thank you so much for considering me in possibly playing a role at your event, I am so grateful to hear from people who think I can contribute by providing a talk.
I consider the following criteria when accepting an opportunity to speak:
- Availability – I try to maintain a balance between personal life and open source contributions so I limit the events I travel to each year.
- Audience – I currently am happy to speak at Technical Conferences of varying scale and am especially interested in speaking to students in Academic settings (Universities, High Schools). The topics I discuss are surrounding Open Source and Community Building so the audience should have an interest in the topic.
- Honorarium – Although I do not charge a fee for speaking I do require travel accommodation, lodging and meals. In some cases if I’m requested to speak through one of the organizations I work with then they may cover part or all of these expenses.
If you are interested in having me speak please contact me and note that I am usually booked out 6-12 months.
